Ingredients
1-pound Brussels sprouts, ends removed and halved
1 Golden Delicious apple, peeled, cored, and chopped
4 cloves garlic, whole
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
¼ cup orange juice
½ cup chicken stock

Directions
Preheat oven to broil (500 degrees Fahrenheit).

In a 10-12-inch cast-iron skillet, toss the sprouts, apple, garlic, with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Cook under the broiler until crisp and slightly charred, about 15 to 20 minutes, turning occasionally.

Using a kitchen towel, carefully transfer skillet to stove and set over a medium heat. Add the vinegar, orange juice, and stock; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer until liquid reduces by half, about 10 minutes. Serve.

Cook with soul. Eat with pleasure!
