8 (1/2-inch slices) baguette
8 slices, beef pastrami
8 slices, sharp mature cheddar cheese
2 tablespoon Coleman's mustard
1 tablespoon water
1/2 cup finely chopped spring onions
1 tablespoon corse black pepper
Preheat the oven to broil at 500 degrees.
Assemble the crostini's: baguette, pastrami, cheese. Place the crostini's on a half sheet pan lined with aluminum foil. Place them in the middle oven rack and cook until cheese is melted, about 4 minutes. Check occasionally to prevent burning.
In a small bowl, mix together the mustard and water. Arrange the crostini's on a serving platter and spoon the mustard mixture across each crostini. Garnish with spring onions, and corse black pepper. Serve.
